Get to know us
The Maven Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting schools that implement the Maven Method, an innovative teaching approach. This method offers a holistic and existentialist educational model. It recognizes that character-based learning provides children with an elevated emotional intelligence quotient, which acts as a vehicle, driving the way and the extent to which children are able to engage with content. This model meaningfully pairs with curiosity and organic learning to promote constructive, pragmatic thinking.
The Maven Foundation's primary goal is to provide financial and educational assistance to The Maven School for Early Childhood Development, The Maven Elementary School, The Maven Middle School, and sister schools that follow the Maven Method. This support encompasses teacher compensation, training, curriculum development, classroom resources, and scholarships for families with limited financial means. Through these resources, the Maven Foundation ensures that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in high school, higher education, and beyond.
The Maven Foundation is deeply committed to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ). The foundation recognizes the importance of creating inclusive and equitable learning environments that celebrate and value the diversity of students. Through its outreach initiatives, the foundation raises awareness about the DEIJ principles embedded within the Maven Method and assists schools in adopting innovative, inclusive practices on an ongoing basis. By advancing DEIJ in education, the foundation aims to create an educational landscape that fosters equal opportunities and empowers students from all backgrounds.
The Maven Foundation also offers educational resources, including access to educational software, online tools, and other materials that facilitate teachers and students in achieving their educational objectives. By providing these resources, the Maven Foundation strives to enhance the overall educational experience and unlock the full potential of students.
